Planned Updates For Space Shooter X
Hello! I’d just like to share what I have in store for Space Shooter X in the near future.
An XNA version that will work with Windows Phone 7 is currently under development. The windows Phone 8 version was developed using MonoGame framework.
So far, code refactoring has been rather straight forward. Apart from the creation of the content pipeline that works with XNA, only few minor changes are made in the code here and there.
Multi-language support is also coming to Space Shooter X. I got inspired by this article where according to the developer, localisation in eight languages has multiply their market reach 4 times.
I know multi-language app is helpful in any dev’s marketing effort but knowing how much it will help from other dev’s experience has encouraged me to start working at it sooner.
I plan to add Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Italian and French in the next major version update. That should cover another 75% of the potential users of the game!
The developer, DevRain has reached 6 million downloads in Windows Phone Store. How inspiring!
Other planned updates include several exciting new levels as I noticed some players have reached the maximum level in the current version.
By the way, I minor update, version 1.4 was released yesterday.
Finally, I also plan to port this game to Windows 8 before making it available for Android and IOS.
Stay tuned!
I’d like to see an update that eliminates ads. The ads are so big that I can’t click the next level button. Also I have purchased the 1.99 upgrade so it the game would have no ads and they are still there, and now the store doesn’t work. Please fix these problems.
Thanks for the feedback. Upcoming update v1.11 will address the ad obscuring the next level button issue.
Also after you made the purchase, did you by any chance fresh install the game or reinstall it on a different phone?
Could you please explain why a space ship game needs access to a phone dialer? Makes me nervous and paranoid and apprehensive to install it. 🙁
Hi Nick, sorry for the late reply. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I think this is a mistake as the app does not require phone dialer permission. We will remove this requirement in the next update.
